| Review of Councillor Allowances
At its Ordinary Meeting of Council of 15 April 2009 the Borough of Queenscliffe determined, in principle, the level of allowances to be paid to Councillors and the Mayor for the remaining period of Council's 4 year term in accordance with section 74(1) of the Local Government Act 1989.
In accordance with section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 the community is invited to make submissions on the level of allowances determined up until 4:30pm, Friday 29 May 2009.
The level of allowances which Council indicated it intends to adopt are as follows:
Mayoral Allowance:
Part A $35,000 plus Part B $3,150 (Total $38,150)
Councillors Allowance:
Part A $15,000 plus Part B $1,350 (Total $16,350)
