| As a way of celebrating the achievements of our local seniors and recognising their voluntary contributions to our community, I would like to encourage nominations from the Borough community for the Victorian Seniors Awards 2009. If you know a senior Victorian who is making an extraordinary difference to our community please nominate them for the Victorian Senior of the Year Awards.
These awards are a statewide search to find Victorians who have made an exceptional contribution to the community since reaching the age of 60. The Awards will be presented at a special reception, hosted by Professor David de Kretser, A.O. Governor of Victoria and Mrs. Jan de Kretser, at Government House on 2 October 2009.
