QUEENSCLIFF PLAYSPACE
Queenscliff Playspace being planned for the Princess Park precint has the opportunity for some arts components to be created by the local community and we are intersted to hear from groups, schools and individuals keen to get involved.

SUNDAY 13TH SEPTEMBER
Community Working Bee at the Indigenous Garden and campfire lunch on the old high school site includes a 'Talk and Walk' about weed species and the natural regeneration of ndigenous plants on the site. ALL WELCOME - bring gloves and garden tools for spreading mulch and a billy for making tea.

SATURDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER
All Ages Drug and Alcohol and Smoke FREE Music Event
Featuring Whitley, a Melbourne based artist, returning home after 18 months of touring Australia and the world and his highly acclaimed debut album. Whitleywill provide his stunning new album 'Go Forth Finf Mammoth' at this event. Also featuring an 'Open Mike Session'. Tickets $10 at Queenscliffe Visitior Information Centre, 55 Hesse Street or $15 at the door. Fully supervised NO PASSOUTS. Doors open 5.00pm - Queenscliff Uniting Church Hall (YOUNG PEOPLE)

Author of the biography 'The Many Lives of Kenneth Myer'. Sue's research took her all over the world to interview his friends and business associates.

DINOSAUR DANCE CONCERT by Karp Productions
In Queenscliffe Town Hall 10.30am. Suitable for AGES 2 years to 10 years. $2.50 per child, purchase tickets at the Queenscliff Library, 55 Hesse Street Queenscliff. Children Under 2 and adults FREE. Other Geelong Regional Library School Holiday Activities across the Region include - 'Jump Back in Time' and 'Craft from the Past' - visit their website for further details. (CHILDREN)

'Walk Back in Time' 2.30pm....start at the Library...end at the Queenscliff Museum.

THURSDAY 22ND OCTOBER
Talk by Bryan Marra on Colonel Umphelby
A past Commandant of Fort Queenscliff, who lead a contingent to the Boar War where he was wounded and subsequently died. Colonel Umpelby was an admired citizen of Queenscliff and was active at the local Golf Club and Bowling Club in the 1890's.
Talks 10.30am at Uniting Curch Hall, Queenscliff. Member $3, non-member $5.

BELLARINE PENINSULA SKATE COMPETITION
We are looking for young people between 12 to 18 years old to assist in developing the series in 2010. Come along on Monday 27th October, 3.30pm at the Potato Shed, Drysdale and have your say.
