Citizenship Ceremonies

By becoming an Australian citizen you are making an ongoing commitment to Australia and all that this country stands for. It is also the beginning of your formal membership of the Australian community. It is the step that will enable you to say 'I am Australian'.

Citizenship ceremonies are special events. They fulfil requirements under Australian citizenship law. They also provide an important opportunity to officially welcome new citizens as full members of the Australian community. They are often an emotional experience for the new citizen as well as their host and guests.

Citizenship ceremonies within the Borough of Queenscliffe are held at the Queenscliff Town Hall. They are usually held in conjunction with Australia Day celebrations; however, they can be organised at other times.
