AUSTRALIA DAY – The Biggest Celebration

Australia Day 2011 was celebrated at the Queenscliff Town Hall, Wednesday 26th January, 11am.  Our Australia Day Ambassador Rachael Lamont talked about what being an Australian meant to her during her 12 months based in Antarctic.

Activities included:

  1. Flag Raising Ceremony
  2. Affirmation Ceremony
  3. Australia Day Awards presentation
  4. Australia Day Ambassador for the Borough of Queenscliffe, Rachael Lamont
  5. Family and Children’s Activities
  6. Free BBQ, Birthday Cake and Refreshments
  7. Free native plant for every family
  8. Entertainment will be provided by Bernard, Sueanne, Tessa and William Reed, including the National Anthem
