As of 24 December 2010 there are two Local Laws in operation in the Borough of Queenscliffe. Local laws are reviewed every four years.
Local Laws are made with respect to things that Council has a function in or control of under the Local Government Act 1989 or any other Act. They are dedicated to local requirements.
The Council's power to make these local laws is contained in sections 91 and 111 of the Local Government Act 1989. They have been prepared following due consideration of the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006.
Local Law Enforcement Officers are on duty seven days a week to assist you with any queries you may have.
