Preparing the 2017–2021 Council Plan, 2017–18 Implementation Plan and 2017–18 Budget
Below is a short video about the community consultation process within the development of the Council Plan, including the Community Summit and Children's Summit held earlier this year.
Thank you to all our residents and ratepayers who took the time to respond to Council’s request for ideas and feedback to assist with the development of the new Council Plan for the next four years.
Council received more than 350 survey responses by the end of February, supplemented with ‘focus-group’ style feedback gathered during the Community Summit. In addition, we received 262 worksheet submissions from local primary school students, and the Children’s Summit held in February also provided valuable and creative ideas. The level of involvement of our younger residents in this consultation process is particularly pleasing. This significant feedback has made a major contribution to the drafting of the Council Plan 2017–2021.
The community consultation period on the draft Council Plan ended on Monday 29 May 2017.
Council held a public meeting to hear submissions on the draft Council Plan 2017–2021 at the Queenscliff Town Hall on Thursday 8 June 2017, and considered the adoption of the draft Council Plan 2017–2021 at its Ordinary Meeting on Thursday 22 June 2017 at 7.00pm.
At the Ordinary Meeting of Council on Thursday 25 May 2017, Council prepared a draft Budget and draft Implementation Plan for the 2017–18 financial year.
Written submissions on any proposal or proposals contained within the draft Budget 2017–18 and draft Implementation Plan 2017–18 were invited until 4.00pm today, Friday 23 June 2017. Thank you to everybody who prepared submissions on these documents.
