Borough Industry Focus Forum generates big ideas

Tuesday, 23 May 2017

Thank you to all the local business people who attended the Borough Industry Focus Forum on Wednesday 17 May.

It was a very successful evening, and the presentations by Andrew Jones of G2 Innovation and the Deloitte project team were a definite highlight, generating robust discussion and plenty of ideas from the attendees.

‘It was terrific to see representatives from a range of businesses in our community at the Borough Industry Focus Forum. Council appreciates the effort people made to attend and get involved in the conversation,’ said Borough of Queenscliffe Mayor, Councillor Tony Francis.

The Discussion Paper on the Economic Development Strategy has now been released to the community for further comment.

It is critical that people from local businesses of all kinds review the Discussion Paper and contribute ideas.

‘All those who attended the Business Industry Focus Forum are encouraged to act as ambassadors and spread the word to those who couldn’t be there,’ said Cr Francis.

Council invites your feedback on the Discussion Paper until Friday 9 June. The Discussion Paper can be downloaded from Council’s website, www.queenscliffe.vic.gov.au, or picked up from Council’s offices at 50 Learmonth Street, Queenscliff and the Queenscliffe Visitor Information Centre at 55 Hesse Street, Queenscliff.

A feedback questionnaire can be completed online at Council’s website, or hard copies are available at Council’s offices and the Queenscliffe Visitor Information Centre. One-on-one interviews can also be booked with a project consultant via the feedback questionnaire.
