Community feedback invited on Discussion Paper
Council has released the Discussion Paper on its Economic Development Strategy for community review and comment.
‘This is our economic development strategy – it belongs to our community – so our ideas and suggestions are integral to its success. I strongly encourage everybody in the Borough community to review the Discussion Paper and provide feedback to Council,’ said Borough of Queenscliffe Mayor, Councillor Tony Francis.
The Discussion Paper is accompanied by a questionnaire to capture feedback from the community. Click here to download a copy of the Discussion Paper from Council’s website, or pick up a copy from Council’s offices at 50 Learmonth Street, Queenscliff and the Queenscliffe Visitor Information Centre at 55 Hesse Street, Queenscliff.
Click here to complete the questionnaire online. Hard copies of the questionnaire are available for completion from Council's offices and the Visitor Information Centre also. Interested community members have the option to book a one-on-one interview with an Economic Development Strategy project consultant via the questionnaire if they prefer to provide feedback in person.
‘This is a terrific opportunity for all of us to shape the future of economic development in the Borough, and make sure that the aims and goals of our community are included in the design and development of the Economic Development Strategy,’ said Cr Francis.
The Discussion Paper includes a profile of the local economy and an assessment of strengths, areas of competitive advantage and weaknesses, and identifies opportunities.
Feedback is invited on the Discussion Paper until Friday 9 June 2017.
