Guest Ready – Expectations of the Modern Day Guest

Tuesday 15 August | Monahan Centre Queenscliff | 7:30am to 9.00am including breakfast

In this session tailored to those offering accommodation, we’ll chat with Kylie Shurmann, Marketing Manager of Victoria's award-winning Royal Mail Hotel Dunkeld about what guests are looking for in a quality accommodation experience and how you can improve your offering without breaking the bank.

Bedsheets and Spreadsheets – Start Your Home Business Today

Tuesday 22 August | Point Lonsdale Bowling Club | 7:30am to 9.00am including breakfast

If you are looking to start a home-based business, or already working from home and needing a little assistance, this is the event for you. We've teamed up with Liz Grant from Small Business Smart Business to get you up and running with all the business basics.

Council encourages all local businesses to support one or more of these events. Bookings can be made online at the Eventbrite website here. Each event costs $25.00, with breakfast, and there are some great door prizes on offer including overnight accommodation at the Royal Mail Hotel.

The Small Business Festival events are aimed at providing local operators with affordable access to quality training and development opportunities to increase skills and help improve, grow and strengthen their small business.

Council has worked closely with Victorian Small Business Festival regional organisers, Enterprise Geelong, to deliver this year’s jam-packed program of more than 50 events across Geelong, the Surf Coast and the Bellarine.
