Have your say on Council’s Economic Development Strategy

Tuesday, 02 May 2017

Council is calling on local businesses and the broader community to provide feedback on the design and delivery of Council’s Economic Development Strategy.

The first stage of the Economic Development Strategy project includes the circulation of an electronic survey to gain valuable feedback from local people.

“The views of our business people and the wider community are important, and Council encourages everybody to participate in the survey,” said Mayor Tony Francis.

To participate in the survey and engagement activities, you will need to register an email address with Council.

If you don’t currently receive the monthly e-business newsletter, please contact Council’s Tourism and Community Development Program Leader, Shannon Di Lisio, on 5258 1377 or shannon.dilisio@queenscliffe.vic.gov.au to register your email address.

“The electronic survey provides a great opportunity for local people to have their say on the future of economic development in the Borough,” said Mayor Tony Francis.

Information on key dates and talking points for the Economic Development Strategy will also be available on Council’s website.

Council’s Economic Development Strategy will focus on the future to achieve a more diverse and vibrant local economy, guide and inform Council’s economic development directions and priorities, and identify opportunities for businesses, investors and the broader community.

Consultancy firm Deloitte has been appointed to lead the development of the project.
