Have your say on Council’s new and updated guidelines
Council is calling on the Borough community to provide feedback on new approaches to improve and facilitate open communication between Council, members of the public and the media.
Borough of Queenscliffe Mayor, Councillor Tony Francis, expressed Council’s enthusiasm for improving communication with the community.
“Council is keen to both improve existing approaches and introduce additional ways of engaging with the community,” said Cr Francis. “An increased range of avenues for communication will benefit the community, and Council has the capacity to improve the quality of information exchange while reducing the potential for frustration associated with limited communication.”
Council has prepared new guidelines for Community Listening Posts and Media Briefing and updated guidelines for Public Question Time.
The guidelines are on public exhibition on Council’s website and copies are available for review at Council’s offices at 50 Learmonth Street, Queenscliff between 9.00am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Feedback can be provided online at the Have Your Say page of Council’s website. A feedback form is also available for download and hard copies of the feedback form can be obtained from Council’s offices. Completed feedback forms can be dropped in to Council’s offices, returned by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or returned by mail to PO Box 53, Queenscliff, Victoria, 3225.
Council invites community feedback on the new and updated guidelines until 4.00pm on Friday 6 October 2017.
