Roofing collapse in Queenscliff

An incident occurred today where part of the rear of the building located at 66 Hesse Street, Queenscliff collapsed resulting in the roof of the adjoining extension collapsing. It has been confirmed that no one was hurt in the incident.

The incident control agency is the CFA. Council’s Municipal Building Surveyor attended and steps are being taken to make the site safe.

At present, access to the footpath immediately in front of the building is restricted, however vehicle traffic along Hesse Street and footpath either side of the building is not affected.
