Save the date for the 150th Community Concert

Tuesday, 19 February 2013

You don't want to miss the 150th Anniversary Community Concert on Saturday 4 May.

The community concert is a pure celebration of the Borough of Queenscliffe's 150 years. No formalities. No entry fee. Just loads of entertainment and fun for the whole family. There will be food vendors, kids activities and great music.

The concert will be headlined by the Sweethearts, a fabulous Geelong-based band consisting of students from Matthew Flinders Girls Secondary College. Sweethearts play new soul – a fusion of styles based around classic soul and Motown. They have released several CDs and have received accolades over four tours of Europe. Wherever they go the crowds just love them – Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale included.

The night will close with a special art projection display onto the exterior of the Queenscliff Town Hall, by Matt Bonner, animation artist and filmmaker.

Put it in your calendar now: Saturday 4 May, 5pm – 9.30pm, 150th Community Concert at the Queenscliff Town Hall.

Further information will be provided closer to the night.
