Unauthorised misuse of Council Logo
The Borough of Queenscliffe Council logo has been deceptively misused on two flyers distributed in the local community over the weekend.
Borough of Queenscliffe Mayor Susan Salter responded swiftly to convey Council’s concern.
“Council is very disappointed by this unauthorised misuse of the Council logo,” stated Cr Salter.
The flyers that were distributed throughout Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale misrepresent Council’s role in relation to statutory planning matters.
“Council as the responsible planning authority must formally assess all planning applications and provide the opportunity for anyone to lodge a submission to a planning permit application. Council must consider all submissions when assessing the application,” said Borough CEO Lenny Jenner.
“If members of the community want to have a say, Council encourages people to follow the planning permit process and make a submission,” said Cr Salter.
