Proposal to Lease Land

Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with Section 190 of the Local Government Act 1989, the Borough of Queenscliffe Council intends to lease part of the land known as the Point Lonsdale Bowls Club, Point Lonsdale Road, Point Lonsdale, Victoria, 3225, being a portion of Allotment 2002, Parish of Queenscliff at Paywit, being Crown Land permanently reserved for Public Purposes by Order in Council of 28 April 1873.

A plan of the lease area is shown below (parcels L1 and L2).

Details of the proposed lease are as follows:

  • Name of lessee:  Point Lonsdale Bowls Club Incorporated
  • Commencement date:  TBD but no less than four (4) weeks from the date of this notice
  • Term of lease:  21 years
  • Options for renewal:  Not applicable
  • Outgoings:  Payable by the lessee
  • Permitted use:  Bowls Club and associated activities

Any person affected by this proposal may make a written submission in accordance with the provisions of Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989. Submissions must be addressed to the undersigned at the details provided, and be received by 4:00pm on 30 August 2018.

Any person requesting to be heard (or to be represented by a person specifi ed in the submission) in support of their written submission will be given the opportunity to appear before Council or a Committee of Council on a date and time to be determined.
