The Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) establishes a legally enforceable right for the community to access information from certain records held by Council.
Documents under sections 7 and 8 of the FOI Act are available to the public. Requests for access to documents under the Act can be lodged with the Freedom of Information Officer at the Council offices.
Please note that from 1 July 2017 the application fee for a request for access to documents under section 17 of the FOI Act will be $28.40. GST is not payable on any application fees or access charges under the FOI Act.
