What is 'e-waste'?
E-waste is old, unwanted or broken electronic or electrical equipment.
Does Council collect e-waste?
No, but we hold an annual e-waste drop-off every year so residents can recycle their e-waste items.
All items collected will be dismantled and the components reused in new products.
The next e-waste drop-off event is scheduled for Saturday 19 May 2018 from 9.00am to 2.00pm at the Ocean View carpark (southern end of Hesse Street, Queenscliff).
What can I bring to the drop-off day?
Televisions including CRTs, Plasma, LCD and Projection TVs
Computer equipment including;
Home office equipment;
Mobile phones and telecommunications equipment;
Audio visual electronics;
Please remove any batteries from items prior to drop-off. These can be brought to Council’s offices for recycling. Click here to find out more about Council's 'Recycle Your Batteries' program.
Items that are NOT accepted
If your e-waste item is not listed above, please contact Council’s Sustainability Officer to discuss whether it will be accepted at the drop-off event.
