Community Environment Alliance Grants Program
The Community Environment Alliance Grants program supports local, non-profit organisations and groups to reduce their carbon emissions and preserve the Borough’s natural environment.
Successful grants will support, enhance and improve environmental sustainability in the local community. Projects may include environmental education, waste reduction and recycling initiatives, energy efficiency upgrades, revegetation and water conservation within the Borough of Queenscliffe municipality.
Applications for the 2017–18 grants program opened on Monday 5 February 2018 and closed at 4.00pm on Friday 16 March 2018. CEA grants recipients will be announced in late April 2018.
All 2017–18 grants program projects must be completed by 31 December 2018.
What type of project will receive funding?
Funded activities will educate the community and result in more environmentally sustainable operations and decision making, such as:
- Information sessions, workshops and other education activities;
- Energy efficiency upgrades (e.g. LED lighting, exterior shading, solar PV, draught proofing) and water conservation measures (e.g. rainwater tanks, shower heads);
- Improving waste, recycling and food waste bins and signage.
How much can I apply for?
The maximum grant available in 2017–18 is $2,000. Applicants must match the grant amount on a dollar for dollar basis, either in cash and/or through in-kind contributions.
The total funding pool for 2017–18 is $10,000. The program is fully funded by the Borough of Queenscliffe.
