Chris Box: The Tremor of Uncertainty
14 August 2017
This, Chris’s first exhibition, is mainly a set of prints in a range of relief styles. Each work tries to capture an image he has seen in nature or one inspired by another artist. Most of the pieces are printed from Chris’s existing linocut blocks but a number of new works have been created for this Exhibition. Some original sketches have also been included. Chris Box began print making in 1999; his usual technique is lino-cut. As an amateur participant in the Australian Print Workshop’s “Millenium Exhibition” in 2000, he had one print from his contributing edition (Years As Trolleys) acquired by the City of Whitehorse and another by the National Gallery of Australia.
