Time: 7:30pm

World-renowned musicians playing traditional music of Ireland, Scotland and Maritime Canada will return to Queenscliff for the 3rd time, presenting a delightful and fun concert at St George’s Church. Flute-player Chris Norman is one of the foremost tradition-bearers, performing the music of Maritime Canada, and whose playing appears on the soundtrack of the film Titanic and ABC Swoon compilation CDs. Fiddle-player James Kelly is one of the greatest Irish traditional players alive today, having toured the world as a member of several influential Irish groups, including Patrick Street and the legendary Planxty. Chris and James will be joined by new Zealand talent Rennie Pearson playing flutes, whistles and guitar. This concert is the pinnacle event of Boxwood Festival Australia, a three day residential workshop for flutes, fiddles, smallpipes and guitar that attracts participants from across Victoria and interstate. The tour is made possible with support from Culture Ireland and The Canada Council for the Arts.
