Road Maintenance
There are four classes of roads in the Borough of Queenscliffe. Private, Access, Collector and Link.
Private roads are the responsibility of the owners.
Link roads are the responsibility of VicRoads.
Collector and Access roads are generally the responsibility of Council, however some roads are declared Link/Access, which means the maintenance responsibilities are shared between Council and VicRoads.

Council is responsibles for resealing and patching of sealed roads and maintenance of unsealed roads under its control. All maintenance issues should be directed to Councils Customer Service Officers.
Footpaths
Council is responsible for the on-going maintenance and construction of footpaths and bicycle paths throughout the municipality. Any concerns relating to footpaths should be relayed to the Customer Service Officers.
