There's no fewer than eight different ways to pay your quarterly rates notice at the Borough of Queenscliffe. We highly recommend signing up to our eNotices service, which sends your bills directly to you via email and allows you to make payments over the internet, but there are also a number of alternate methods to suit every resident and ratepayer.

Online

Step 1.Via Credit Card Online

Pay by SecurePay or over the phone using your Visa or Mastercard. You will also need the Bill Number, found in the top right hand corner of your rates notice. Please ensure you check the Bill Number when paying online so payment is applied to the correct property.

Via eNotices

Simply visit queenscliffe.enotices.com.au to register for our eNotices system, using the unique eNotices Reference Number found on the front of your rates notice. eNotices delivers rates notices via email, and lets you specify up to six separate email addresses that can receive the rates notice each quarter.

Step 2.Via the internet using BPAY

Nearly every bank, credit union or building society in Australia allows you to pay bills via BPAY. Using your online banking website or app, find where to make a payment via BPAY and then enter the biller code 93906 and your Bill Reference Number shown on the front of your rates notice. Please ensure you check the Bill Reference Number when you are paying online so the rates are applied to the correct property

Step 3.Via the internet using Post Billpay

Australia Post's Post Billpay system allows you to pay bills quickly and securely at any time. Visit their website to pay online, or use your mobile/table to scan and pay bills with the Australia Post app.

In person

Step 1.In person at Council offices

Visit Council offices at 50 Learmonth Street, Queenscliff between 9:00am and 4:30pm weekdays and one of our friendly customer service team will help process your rates notice. You can pay by cash, cheque, credit or debit card, and we'll issue you with a receipt at the end of the process.

Step 2.In person at the post office

You can visit any of the 3,200 Australia Post outlets in the country to pay your rates notice. In the Borough, your closest options are the Queenscliff LPO and the Point Lonsdale Newsagency.

Other

Over the phone using Post Billpay

You can call Australia Post's Post Billpay service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 13 18 16 and follow the prompts.

Payment schedule

Council has fixed the method of payment for the financial year as four equal instalments, due as follows:

 

1st instalment: 30 September 2023
2nd instalment: 30 November 2023
3rd instalment: 28 February 2024
4th instalment: 31 May 2024

 

We'll send through a rate notice around four weeks before the due date. The notice will indicate the amount due, and the date by which we must have received your payment. Remember, late payments will incur interest charges.

 

If the due date falls on a weekend day or public holiday, the due date will roll over to the first following business day.
