Painting Together

Artists Together Exhibition

Seven Bellarine artists who paint together at the Queenscliffe Neighbourhood House are exhibiting at the House Gallery from 1-25 September.

Says exhibiting artist Renae Chapman: ‘Some of our group are sea changers, some not. Our common interest is to further develop our art while enjoying our friendship and our community, the environment where we live.

We have been together as a group for over 3 years, some longer, and our art and experience is diverse ranging from portrait, landscape, seascape, porcelain, acrylics, watercolour, oils, pen and ink.’

The seven artists exhibiting include:

Renae Chapman: Acrylics and local scenes are Renae’s preference.

Fran Faulkner: Fran works mainly in ink and watercolour, but has begun printmaking in the last few years.

Sandra Gould: Sandra enjoys landscapes and portraits.

Trish Hanan: Trish works on porcelain and with watercolour, oils and acrylics.

Beverley Kilpatrick: Beverley has been porcelain painting for 43 years and is a credited APAT Teacher. She mainly paints flowers, jewel boxes and jewellery.

Gillian McLeod: Gillian mainly paints in oil and is discovering the delights and difficulties of watercolour.

Ronda Symon: Ronda dabbles in pen, crayon and watercolour and as a portrait artist enjoys a challenge.
