REMEMBERING GRAEME BELL AO MBE

Diana and musician Graeme Bell in 2006

The Queenscliffe Historical Museum’s November Monthly Talk

Diana Allen, who has been organizing the Monthly Museum Talks for ten years, will be resigning from this position at the QHM’s AGM on Friday November 29th. She has been invited to be the November Monthly speaker herself, and has chosen to talk about her new book written during lockdown The History of Jazz Australia [her business for 40 years] and specifically about one of the most significant people she both presented and represented in Melbourne for more than 20 years, Australian jazz pianist and band leader Graeme Bell AO MBE.

Diana will be illustrating her Talk with footage of Graeme’s music etc. so this will be a Museum Talk with a difference. Diana was awarded an OAM in 2018 for her services to jazz in Australia.

Starts 10.30am for morning tea/coffee & 11am for the Talk.
