Within the Borough, there are many plenty of opportunities for people of all abilities to engage in sport, recreation and leisure activities, both formal and informal. Many activities revolve around our beautiful natural and heritage environments. There are a range of walking and cycling tracks, many which take in the sea breeze and picturesque vistas of the beaches and bay. Understandably, boating and sailing is also a popular pastime.

For those wishing to get their competitive juices flowing, Queenscliffe is home to a host of sporting clubs and associations that take part in weekend and mid-week sport, including Australian football, cricket, netball, bowls, golf, tennis, and surfing. Many of these clubs and venues also offer casual play. Visitors and residents can keep fit via our new outdoor gym equipment, conviently located in both Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale, while a members-only indoor gym adjoins the grandstand at Queenscliff Recreation Reserve.
