About Belinda

"Hi, I'm Belinda. I joined the Queenscliffe Visitor Information Centre as a volunteer in April 2022 after moving to Queenscliff in June 2021. I'm a recently retired nurse who was wanting to get involved in the community.

"Not knowing anyone in town, I popped into the Visitor Information Centre to find out about local groups and chatted to the volunteer on duty. I loved watching her interaction with visitors and how much she seemed to enjoy what she was doing. I left my name and number and the coordinator called me.

"Since joining the organisation, I have been given plenty of training, which has helped with my confidence when approaching people. I commit to one shift a week, and I get to meet a variety of visitors. Volunteering has its own rewards and the familiarisation tours are an extra bonus."
