The Bellarine Railway has been operated and maintained by dedicated volunteers since 1979 and features a unique collection of heritage locomotives and carriages from around Australia.

Heritage Train Service

Trains run on Sundays during the year, as well as Tuesday and Thursday in the Easter, June and September

holidays - excludes Day out with Thomas and Queenscliff Music Festival weekends. Extra trains run from Boxing

Day until the Australia Day weekend. See website or call for details.

Heritage steam and diesel trains may be chartered for special occasions or for smaller groups the railways Private Carriage Hire is available whenever the Heritage Service is running.

The historic Queenscliff Station is a unique venue for couples to hold their wedding ceremony or as a location for wedding photography and suitable all year round – permits are required.

Drive a Steam or Diesel Locomotive for a Day

Experience the power of a heritage locomotive for yourself or give as a gift to mark a milestone. Full and half day options are offered and family and friends are welcome to share the day.
