Compassionate Hearts on the Bellarine are a voluntary group based on the Bellarine Peninsula that works to support the Palliative Care residents and tier carers of this region. Palliative meaning anyone with a life- limiting illness. They provide supportive services to people based upon tier need.
CHoB are a registered charity headed by Chairperson, Pauline Noonan and OAM Dr David Brumley who are both local residents. They work in collaboration but as a separate entity with Bellarine Community Health Palliative Care services.
The Maternal and Child Health service is a specialised nursing service that focuses on the health and wellbeing of mothers and their babies/young children. The service is provided free for families with children from birth to school-age. The service is delivered by City of Greater Geelong's Family Services, with appointments held at Queenscliff Kindergarten.
