Council offers ratepayers a sharps container pick-up and disposal service, free of charge, for used needles and syringes. This service is not available to commercial operators. Medical waste disposal services for businesses can be found in the Yellow Pages.
If you find a discarded syringe, please contact Council's Customer Service and we will arrange for it to be collected.
