Join us in Point Lonsdale for our two-part workshop to find out more about the fascinating life of the Hooded Plover and other threatened beach-nesting bird species. We'll show you how you can volunteer with our project, which has been running since 2006!
Hooded Plover Training Workshop, 9:15am - 1pm. Learn how to identify our beach-nesting birds, about the threats they face, and how you can help protect them! This workshop is ideal for anyone interested in Hooded Plovers or thinking about volunteering, it's also a great refresher for existing volunteers. Followed by a beach walk.
Speaking with the Public short course, 12:30pm-4pm. In the afternoon, a skilled facilitator will be delivering a short course on basic communication training. This training is applicable for anyone working in the volunteer sector or considering volunteering. We have limited capacity for this, so get in fast! This session includes lunch.
