Beaches

Looking out over a beach at the top of the stairs

Nestled on the tip of the Bellarine Peninsula, and surrounded by water on three sides (Bass Strait, Port Phillip Bay and Swan Bay), Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale have been popular coastal resort towns for more than 150 years. Anyone who has visited will understand why. When visiting, make sure you pay attention to the various warning signs highlighting possible dangers found at the beach. While our beaches are beautiful, they are also powerful. Hazards such as strong currents, large waves and rocky ledges are found at some locations.
