Friends of the Hooded Plover Bellarine
The FoHPB have been working to conserve the Hooded Plovers along the Point Lonsdale to Breamlea stretch of coastline since the beginning of Birdlife Australia’s Beach-nesting Birds Program in 2006. A team of volunteers act as ‘wardens’ over the breeding season, engaging with the public and providing information about the needs of the birds and especially the vulnerable chicks.
