Community Grants and Event Sponsorship

Council provides grants to community organisations that support community, art and cultural projects and activities that enhance the wellbeing and quality of life of residents living in the Borough of Queenscliffe.

The programs aim to assist local community groups and organisations to increase involvement and provide opportunities for Council and the community to work together, as well as help provide support for events, projects or activities that will promote a healthy, involved and creative community. 

Applications for grants in 2024 are now open and will close on 31 May 2024.

Community Grants

Grants of up to $2,000 for Community Groups to provide community focused projects and activities. A budget allocation of $20,000 has been identified for the 2024/25 Community Grants program.

In order for your application to be assessed, you must speak to the Economic Development team by calling 5258 1377.

Event Sponsorship

There are two sponsorship categories; Local Events up to $5,000 and Minor Events up to $10,000. A budget allocation of $20,000 has been identified for the 2024/25 Event Sponsorship program.

For major event funding applications requesting over $10,000, submissions will be accepted year-round subject to a minimum 6-month assessment period. All applicants must prepare a presentation for assessment by Council.
