Mayor Grigau acknowledged the dedication of the many volunteers and community organisations whose work strengthens the Borough.
"When our community organisations succeed, our whole Borough benefits," Cr Grigau said.
"Whether you're supporting young people, promoting health and wellbeing, preserving our history, strengthening community connections, or delivering events that bring residents and visitors together, your contribution makes our Borough a better place for everyone."
Cr Grigau also recognised the invaluable role volunteers play in building a strong and resilient community.
"Strong communities are built by people who are prepared to volunteer, organise, coach, perform, preserve our history, support their neighbours and give back to others. Tonight is our opportunity to recognise and thank you for doing exactly that."
