Dog’s Breakfast – A Morning of Fun, Community & Conservation!

The Friends of the Hooded Plover Bellarine invite you to a family-friendly Dog’s Breakfast.

Bring your furry friends and the whole family along to the Dog’s Breakfast on Saturday, 3rd January (8:00 am to 10:30 am) at the Point Lonsdale Surf Life Saving Club, Ocean Road. This free, family-friendly event is all about celebrating the special bond between people, pets, and our local environment. Enjoy a sizzling sausage straight off the BBQ, treat your pup to free goodies, and pick up expert tips from a qualified dog trainer.

But it’s not just about the fun—this gathering is a chance to learn how we can all play a part in protecting the Hooded Plovers, the vulnerable shorebirds that call Point Lonsdale’s back beach home. Local BirdLife Australia volunteers will be on hand to share stories, answer questions, and show how simple actions—like keeping dogs on leads while walking along the beach—can make a big difference for these precious birds.
