Introduction to Botanical Drawing with Graphite Pencil

Introduction to Botanical Drawing with Graphite Pencil 17 & 18 January 2026

Have you ever wanted to learn how to draw but weren’t sure where to start? This two-day workshop is designed for beginners and offers a friendly, supportive environment to build confidence and develop essential drawing skills. No prior experience needed—just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

This two-day workshop is an introduction to graphite pencil techniques, with a focus on botanical art. You will learn how to use graphite to observe, interpret, and draw botanical subjects, exploring tone, form, fine detail, and mark-making along the way.

After completing the workshop, you’re welcome to join the ongoing Thursday (fortnightly) term classes at Qhub, offered in both graphite and coloured pencil, where you can continue developing your skills within a friendly and supportive group.
