Prints of Darkness .... and Light

An Exhibition featuring the art of ten Print Makers and highlighting the breadth of technique and style available in the Print medium. Runs from Saturday 24 January 2026 until 1 March 2026.

Some of the works have a monochromatic palette, exploit the impact of chiaroscuro and / or have a menacing theme – hence “Darkness” whereas many of the pieces revel in the use of colour and show bright, uplifting imagery – the “Light”. The artists are all well known in the Bellarine area and all have exhibited before: Sharronne Ashbridge, Rob Beagley, Chris Box, Christine Bubb, Liz Butcher, Shirley Hurley, David Jarman, John McClumpha, Helen Stillwell and Pip Williams.

Both Pip and Chris have won awards in the prestigious Queenscliff Art Prize (QAP) competition in the Print category. David and Christine have been QAP judges.

Most of the exhibitors have been awarded art prizes in various categories and are proficient in various mediums but all share a passion for the print.
