Mayor Cr Ross Ebbels and government ministers pose at Hesse Street South redevelopment opening

The Hesse Street South project is now complete. The project included a range of upgrades to Hesse Street south of King Street, such as moving power lines underground, improving street lighting and drainage, creating 16 extra parking spaces, and planting new trees. Together, these works have made Hesse Street safer for cars and pedestrians while improving the visual appeal of the streetscape.

The redevelopment of more than $1.3 million was funded by the State Government's Fixing Country Roads program ($904,558), the Federal Government's Roads to Recovery program ($190,984), and the Borough of Queenscliffe ($261,295).
