Australian Defence Force training in the Greater Geelong Region

Australian Defence Force personnel will be conducting military training from 1 to 19 May across the greater Geelong region and on the Bellarine Peninsula, including the Borough.

The training will be conducted during the day and night. Specific times and locations are not available to us.

The ADF notes that residents should not be alarmed if they see or hear military vehicles, watercraft, unmanned aerial systems, and military personnel carrying weapons.

Blank ammunition and pyrotechnics will be used during some aspects of the training.

If you see or hear the training, please do not be concerned. This essential training is vital to maintain Australia’s world-class military capability.
