Yesterday, Councillor Susan Salter informed me that she would be resigning as a Borough of Queenscliffe Councillor, effective immediately. Cr Salter’s resignation will allow her to better manage an ongoing illness.

On behalf of Council, I want to thank Cr Salter for her near decade of service to the Borough of Queenscliffe. Whether representing our community at the highest levels as Mayor or meeting with individual residents about a local issue, Cr Salter has been a passionate and dedicated public servant, and it has been a privilege to serve alongside her.

Council has informed the Victorian Electoral Commission of the vacancy.
