Park updates
From the park office
A major storm in October last year caused serious damage to a number of trees in Victoria Park. Council has since been working through an extensive tree management plan to protect the health of these trees and ensure the safety of park guests. Unfortunately, it’s become apparent that the scale of tree management required will not allow us to safely accommodate advance bookings for a small number of guests in Victoria Park. Tourist Parks staff will contact affected guests as soon as possible to attempt to relocate bookings to another site, if possible.
Council wishes to advise that it has received a Victorian Government grant to upgrade the amenity block located alongside Hesse Street at the
Queenscliff Recreation Reserve
. Works are expected to begin soon and are likely to continue from March 2022 through June 2022. Guests will have full access to our central amenties block during the upgrade.
Some sites in Victoria Park can no longer be booked by vehicles longer than 6.5 metres in total travel length, including the drawbar. If you have any queries about whether your caravan is suitable, please
contact the QTP team
.
